- Insert Creative Title Here -

Ahh, another beautiful day at the park. A little chilly, sure, but that doesn't phase the dogs at all; they got every bit as dirty as they did during the summer.

Here's Cleo (now 10 months old) waiting for someone to toss her a tennis ball.

Finally, someone tossed it! Now, toss it again!

Andrea and Mia playing with (from left to right) Princess, Cleo and Jax.

Cleo and Jax look pretty ferocious here don't they? They're only playing though, I promise no canine got hurt during the park venture!

So yeah, even though it was kind of cold everyone had a good time. I'm a little tired or I'd make this post a bit longer, hehe. Oh well, next time. =)

Play time!

Jax and Hamlet were scoping out my camera. Jax was in the middle of trying to get me to toss his toy for him, hence the title. He's relentless and never runs out of energy when it comes to chasing a torn up tennis ball. He comes and puts it into anyone's lap as long as they look like they need something to do; unfortunately, everyone always looks like they need to throw the toy. What? Cooking? No time for that! *tosses the toy at your feet*

Hamlet was interested in the camera, prolly just to see if she could get a treat from it. I had on a pair of kitty ears yesterday and when I walked up to her she poofed up her tail and crouched down questioning me with many, 'meow?'s as if asking if it were really me and not some huge impostor kitty. I was thoroughly amused by that, hah, Goofy kitty.

Fresh Meat -- Er, Pictures

Just a couple of dog pics taken just this afternoon while the dirty beasties were running around outside. They were in the process of chasing eachother with little breaks in between to find acorns to bring inside and drive me crazy with. I'll toss in a picture of one of the cats while I'm at it.

Such a handsome crew, even if they are a bit filthy.

Cat Man Do

Because this is so Hamlet, it's getting posted on Cleo's blog. The animator/director is Simon Tofield, more of his work can be found at the Tandem Films website.

A couple of extras...

This past weekend Jim and Andrea came to join Astrid, Cameron, Alan and I. Jim brought along their other two dogs (Princess and Daisy) for a total of 5 beasties in our little house. It wasn't too bad though! I mean, Daisy is an escape artist and Princess is a little bossy, but everyone got along pretty well. The doggie door made things easier, too.
This is an excellent picture of Jax gazing longingly at a squirrel in the trees outside, his and Cleo's favorite pastime.

Andrea running with Princess (left doggie) and Daisy (right dog)

Princess running Andrea and Daisy is... not sure what Daisy's doing =P

All the girls, Nabiki is the munchkin dog.

Wait a sec, this is Cleo's blog and I don't even have a recent picture of Cleo! What's wrong with me! *Goes to find her camera*

Labor Day Weekend.

Everyone had tons of fun, the slideshow and captions should speak for themselves. =)

More rain means...

Yup. More mud!

I heard movement from the direction of the doggie door so I walked out of the office and turned to my left to see these tell-tale dirty pawprints leading from the wet and muddy outdoors.

This is how I found the culprit. Chewing on a rawhide and acting very nonchalant about her mess.

She's really pretty proud of it I think. This is after I cleaned her up. Sigh, time to rent another carpet cleaner I guess. Hurray for Muppies!

She's got the look.

Really, she gets the 'sad look' down and can turn it on in an instant. There's no real reason for her to be upset either, haha. The other is of Chucho, the handsome and always smiling Sheltie. What a pair too. Chase chase chase, come say hi for two seconds, chase chase chase, power nap, wrestle a bit, say hi again, back to chasing. That's how their day goes. The good news is that they both sleep soundly through the night and don't wake up until our alarm goes off. =D

Cleo has a new friend!

Chucho! The one-year-old sheltie. They get along wonderfully, chase is their favorite game so far. It was hard to catch a good picture of them because they were moving so fast. It's a good thing, too, that the couch covers are removable and cleanable as we have some manners to work on. Hehe.

Posting a new pic or two...

...because I can! Cleo at 6 months. She was busy helping us fix the back fence by watching through the glass door of the house shortly after the bottom picture was taken. Wore herself out too, must be tough keeping an eye on her people while in the comfort of the AC.

Visitors! Yay!

Oh the excitement! That's right, a whole four people came to visit. One of whom even had a similar energy level, much to Cleo's delight. She loves people anyway, but when one can actually keep up with her -- she's in heaven.

Meet Mia, my youngest sister. I love it when she comes to visit because at twelve years old, she can really wear out the puppy. Of course, that isn't the only reason I love it when she comes to visit. >.>

Brown is the new White.

You'd think that Alan and I moved to some tropical island and are in a Monsoon season with all of the rain we've been getting lately. I had to post two pictures of her latest adventure. She's advanced well past her fear of rain. And the carpet? Still screaming.

Mud Puppy shows herself in full force. Hehe. Oh, she becomes fully Alan's dog when she does stuff like this.

14 Weeks Young

Talk about bat ears, eh? At this point in time she usually runs around with one ear flopped to the side and one straight up, pretty amusing. She's also showing her intelligence by sitting and laying down on command, as well as her intense love of doggie biscuits. And see the carpet? It's screaming in agony. Really.

A little older...

A little more energetic. At 10 weeks old she has razor sharp teeth and needs to go potty a lot. Our carpet is hurting already!

And it starts.

Everyone loves a puppy! They're cute, they're fluffy, lots of fun for everyone! Even the puppy breath isn't minded. Here is where my and Alan's adventures in puppydom start.

Meet Cleo,
the runt of a litter of nine Border Collie pups. Smaller than my cats, larger than a hamster. It was love at first sight as soon as I saw her. Of course, she was attacking a tree stump at the time while her brothers and sisters slept... maybe I should have taken that into consideration. ;)
